Gloria Knight lived in San Francisco, CA for almost a decade. While in San Francisco, she married and gave birth to two sons, Dennis and Dustin. Due to abuse, she divorced from this marriage and returned to the city she grew up in, Shreveport, LA. She remarried in 1980 and had a third son, John. After 14 years, she once again left an abusive relationship and has been single ever since. She’s a devout Christian, faithful church member, and servant.

Her ministry is with outer-city children. She teaches them to be leaders and examples in their communities, but teaching forgiveness is a challenge to many of these children. They are children of addicts and alcoholics. They are astounded that even Jesus came to the earth to be ridiculed and bullied. But they learn in no uncertain terms that God won’t forgive anyone who doesn’t forgive others, and they are hungry for God’s forgiveness.
